If you have a suited king and queen then you need to have the guts to raise the pot even before the flop. If the flop comes out and a six shows up, what are you going to do? Are you simply going to call everyone’s bets or are you going to go all in?

Since there is only one card left to show up, what are the chances that a nine or an ace will show up? The chances are pretty slim. Your opponents may have a hit a pair or even a two pair already. Are you going to go all in or are you going to wait for the river card to show up? If you are the daring and gutsy kind of player then by all means, you will go all in even before the river card comes out. You are certainly going to feel the rush at this moment. If you want to scare everyone away even if you haven’t hit anything then the only way to do it is by guts, not by thinking. Go ahead, just do it and win!
