Best MTT Poker Tools
Posted at 04/09/2013 09 PM in Beginner Topics by The Greedy Gecko.
Poker players have developed dozens of software tools to help dominate multi-table tournaments (MTTís). Theyíre not all built the same however, and the last thing you want to do is utilize an MTT poker tool that doesnít work or isnít updated regularly.

Best Multi-Table Tournament Poker Tools

1. Tournament Shark

Tournament Shark is a lot like Sharkscope except the tool does the work for you. The Tournament Shark HUD attaches nicely to your online poker table and allows you to view real-time stats of your opposition in the tournament.

You can view stats such as how many tournaments the player has played, how much profit they make on average, the average buy-in for each opponent, E%, EM%, M% and ML%. Knowing everything you can about your opponents is vital to your success.

2. Tournament Indicator

Tournament Indicator is an MTT tool used by a lot of poker players on PokerStars (read review here). The tool is powerful and not only provides information on your opposition in online poker tournaments, but the tool also provides real-time calculations such as win odds, pots odds, etc.

The tool has a HUD display thatís similar to Tournament Shark and will provide you real-time stats on your opponents. The tool also has a unique feature called ìMZoneî that will display your MZone and your opponents MZone rating.

There are also other features including a ìTilt Factorî and ìMatchCard Showdownî feature. The software is very helpful, but you need to keep in mind that the software canít read specific situations, so you need to use your own judgement still.

3. Top Shark

Top Shark is absolutely free to use and is a poker stats tracker for MTTís, S&Gís and Heads-Up tournaments. Simply type in the name of the opponent you want to search and select the poker room youíre playing with to view the playerís statistics.

You can view pertinent stats such as how many tournaments a player has played, how much theyíve won, how much they win on average, average buy-in amount, how often theyíre ITM and how many wins/losses theyíve accumulated in total.

4. Sharkscope

Another great database for tracking poker players is Sharkscope and theyíve been in the industry a long time. Sharkscope is free to use (5 searches daily), but if you want to utilize the stats for every opponent you play against youíll need to buy searches.

Sharkscope only charges $10 / 200 searches, so the tool is very inexpensive. Sharkscope has also developed a HUD that players can pay a monthly fee to use. The HUD is ideal if youíre multi-tabling because it takes too long to search individual players.

How to Download Poker MTT Tools

Tournament Shark and Tournament Indicator arenít free MTT poker tools, but they can be. According to Poker30.net, if you visit each site youíll be able to sign-up to a poker room through their site to receive the poker tool for free. You could also opt to purchase the tool if you want.

If you claim one of the tools for free make sure you follow the instructions to ensure everything works. Tournament Shark lets you sign-up to PokerStars or William Hill. To receive the tool you need to earn 250 PokerStars Points or 100 WH Points.

Tournament Indicator lets you download their MTT poker tool for free once you sign-up to one of the supported rooms. Youíll have to play 900 raked hands to unlock the full software though, which will allow you to use it in any supported poker room.

Most MTT poker players utilize one of the above poker software tools to assist them in making decisions. These tools will assist you in making difficult situations in MTTís by providing you with real-time calculations and statistics on your opponents.
