Routines, Rituals, Rules, and Superstitions

Everyone has certain ways to do certain things. Some people go to the gym at the same time everyday. Some people play basketball with lucky socks. Other people grocery shop at the same time every week.

In poker, players have routines, rituals, rules, and superstitions as well. Most everyone that plays has certain things that they do whether it is always playing in the same poker rooms or always playing at the same time. Others like to limit the amount of money they play while others put a limit on the amount of time they play.

I way to share some of my routine and rules related to poker that I have taken notice of lately. One is that I always seem play with a hat on. I am not talking about a baseball cap, I am talking about a winter hat. Another thing I notice is that I always have to have water or propel fitness water. When things get tough for me I get thirsty. Also I always seem to play more at nighttime and I don’t think I have every played a Friday or Saturday.

These are things I would have never took notice of if I never sat down and thought about it, so many of you probably do things like this without ever noticing it as well. So tell me, what routines, rituals, rules, and superstitions do you have that are related to poker?
