Comments Welcome – Movable Type Comment Spam is No More

At least I hope so anyway!

Previously, I had the comment feature enabled and welcomed comments on any of the blog posts on the site. Unfortunately, however, there are many programs out there preying Movable Type’s comment feature by submitting countless spam messages advertising a variety of websites. For those of you who are interested in reading male enhancement, xxx asian pictures, and mortgage-related advertisements, I apologize but these comments will not be posted to the site.

No spam comments ever made it onto the site, and never will, simply because all comments must be approved by me before being published onto the site. However, I spent entirely too much time rejecting comments and thus eliminated the feature all together.

I am hoping that the addition of a couple of security features will allow me to once again accept your comments without a major administrative burden, giving the site more a community feel. Please feel free to leave comments, and please report any bugs you uncover with the comment feature.
