Rake
UB offers extremely low rakes on their card games. Rakes range from 0 up to a maximum of 5% of the pot, with no rake taken should the hand ends before the flop (i.e. no flop – no drop).

Quantity of Opponents
At any hour, you can find in excess of ~6k players, with upwards of +12k during peak hours. Consequently, you will be able to play the type of game and limit you want at virtually any time. While the population is primarily centralized around Hold’em, there is always activity at all the games offered.

Quality of Opponents
Historically, UB has had the reputation of being a tighter site with more skilled opponents. While the play is not as wild as PartyPoker.com, the opponents are mediocre at best. Playing lower limit Hold’em tables, players seeing the flop will generally range ~35%-45%. There is much action to be had, especially if you intend to be a multi-table player. In tournament play (through the $100 buy-in level), opponents are no better than average. I would not allow the reputation to dissuade you from playing on this site, because I feel that the pond remains full of fish.

Games/Limits Offered
UB offers Hold'Em, Omaha, Omaha-8, Seven Card Stud, Stud-8, Crazy Pineapple, Crazy Pineapple-8 and Triple Draw Lowball (A-5 and 2-7). Games are offered in the Limit, Pot Limit, and No Limit format. UB is geared towards all limit players, offering low stakes games as beginning at $ .01/.02 through high stakes games like $80/160, which are some of the biggest games on the net.

Multi-Tabling
UB is very multi-table friendly, allowing you to play up to 3 tables at any given time. The site offers a Mini-View format that enables you to fit all three tables on a small portion of your screen.

Bonus
The initial deposit promotion is constantly changing, but the site typically offers bonus dollars which you earn as you play real money games.
