Overview -

Ultimate bet has been around for some years, and is a major player in the online poker world. They have a large and loyal fan base due to their excellent ring game and tournament schedule, as well as good original software. The play is some of the tightest around, so if you want a challenge then check this site out. With great game selection and challenging play, this is one of the most professional sites around.

Money - 10/10

Ultimate Bet has good regular promotions, and their current bonus of 100% up to $500 is excellent. The bonus is converted from points by playing their ring games, with the points based on rake. This means the higher the stakes the more quickly you will earn the money. The bonus is worked off by the cent and is credited immediately into your account after a game, which is better than many sites that require $10 to be earnt before the bonus is released. Ultimate Bet also has some great live tournament promotions for big events like the Aruba Classic. They also have some bounty tournaments against their large sponsored team of pros including Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Scotty Nguyen and Annie Duke. They have really quick payouts, with money usually received with 12-24 hours and confirmed via email. They accept a decent amount of deposit methods, and are a very stable company so transactions are reliable.

Interface and Customer Service - 9/10

The software at Ultimate Bet is definitely one of the best packages of any site, with fast paced gameplay and easy to use interface. Although the avatars are just blank chairs, this is different from other sites and so makes it interesting. The hand history feature is brilliant and the lobby organises everything well. In tournaments you can see your placing as well as the chip leaders and average stack, which is a very nice feature. You can also change the game backgrounds to various cities, which helps to keep the visuals fresh. The customer service is fast and reliable, although with only email response it will still take longer to sort out a problem than if there was a telephone or chat support line.

Player Difficulty and Frequency - 7/10

If you like challenging, tight gameplay then Ultimate Bet is definitely the place to go. This site has been around for a while and attracts plenty of tight players, although that doesnít mean they are better than loose players. If you play an aggressive game you can come out on top. The gameplay is excellent, and plays more like a real cardroom than an online poker room. There is no room for wild play, and is a refreshing change from many other sites with loose players. However, if you are inexperienced then this is isnít the best site to start playing on. The traffic is excellent at Ultimate Bet, with around 15,000 players around during peak times. The traffic for high-stakes games is better than most sites, so if you like the big money you will find some good games here.

Tournaments - 9/10

Ultimate Bet has great tournaments, with a weekly $125,000 guaranteed event the pick of the extensive list of guaranteed tournaments. They also have some good lower-level events, with plenty of $5 or less buy-in tournaments. The freerolls are not so good, with a lack of bigger money freeroll events. However, there is plenty of big money in the $1,000,000 prize pool events that are sometimes run on the site. They have plenty of satellite tournaments, and there are opportunities to win seats in the WSOP main event amongst others.
